When and where is the NFL Draft in 2023? Dates, pick order, location & updated mock drafts | Sporting News (2024)

In the City of Fountains, hope may spring eternal.

The NFL Draft is something of a traveling circus now. After spending years calling player names in the Big Apple, other cities wanted a bite of the event, and they got it.

Now, in the ninth year since the NFL took the draft show on the road, Kansas City plays host to the event for the first time come April 27. How it'll play out is anyone's guess, but the NFL Draft always fills franchises — and fans — with big hopes for years to come.

There have already been a fair number of movers and shakers, with several teams holding other teams' 2023 picks from past trades. The Bears finally completed the biggest trade, sending No. 1 to the Panthers for Nos. 9, 61, a 2024 first and a 2025 second, alongside receiver D.J. Moore.
